Do you shoot right at dove or when do you shoot in front or below them? I waited for dove to fly very close and still was not able to hit and would like a few tips… Thank you guys in advance

there’s two methods I know of. the first is predicting where the bird will be when the shot reaches it and shoot for that spot. the other method is to follow and aim at the bird, then quickly aim ahead of them when your shooting, this is the easier method for beginners. personally if I were you, I’d go out and buy a clay thrower and a box of clay birds and bring a friend along, have your friend throw the clays with the thrower, this is great practice to get the basics, but experience is key.
PS: in reality, you aim in the direct of it’s head, just a bit ahead of it.
