i have a savage axis new generation 30-06 with remington express core lokt 220 soft point cartridges… should i change load and just plain Hunting Tips thanks!
If you are hunting elk or moose, it should be fine. For deer, I would go with a lighter bullet.

Way too big grain round, 180 is good enough for 180 lb target @ 900 yards. That 220 is going to recoil and you are going to get a flinch, the expectation of that recoil then you are done. Unless you are a shooter already. It still kicks though
I don’t hunt, but I would tell the hunters on here what you want to hunt. They know what they are talking about.
